Assault With Snake

Tony Smith was charged with assault and battery for his attack on another guest at The Executive Inn in South Carolina. After Jeffery Culp spoke with Smith about turning down his loud music, Smith came up to Culp a while later and shoved a python in his face. When the police came, they found Smith walking on the balcony of the second floor still holding the snake. After giving up the snake to a family member, he was immediately arrested. Police reports state that Smith had been drinking before the incident.

I think that Smith hit Culp in the face with the snake hoping that the snake would bite him. Ball pythons are quite tame, but if any snake feels threatened, then the more likely it is to attack. The whole thing was just pointless, all he had to do was just turn down his music. I don't feel sorry for him, and I'm not going to blame it on the alcohol (sorry Jamie)! If he was able to organize the whole thing (calling someone and bringing the snake into the hotel), then he did have a shred of common sense available. He should have been charged with animal cruelty too!

Check out the video after the incident.

US Government Caused Earthquake in Haiti

At least this is what Hugo Chavez has been claiming. Click here to learn more. My reaction to this news was a big laugh... I thought it was pretty funny. So what? Does the US now have an earthquake machine? Or does the president have super powers? Well, htey believe it to be the first option. The US posses a program called HAARP. HAARP stands for High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program. This program is aimed at studying the Earth's ionosphere. According to this site, the apparatus sends a high frequency radio that heats the Earth's ionosphere and the wave beans return towards the Earth affecting everything it crosses including the Earth itself.

The military claims it uses the facility for research purposes only while others like Hugo Chavez believe they have other uses for the program. Is this just another conspiracy theory or another atomic bomb on the making? Just after Chavez's accusations several blogs came out with controversal opinions. The Internet is packed with supporters of conspiracy theories. In my opinion, the Internet is a great place to gather information. But before getting the word out and accusing the government of such horrific acts as this one use good sense and don't blame others before analyzing the facts. Then, take any conclusion you want.

Women Try Traveling With Dead Body

This was a very strange story. How could they not know that he was dead? Two women were arrested on the suspicion of not reporting the death of a 91-year-old man. Gitta Jarant and Anke Anusic , ages 66 and 44, tried to leave on a flight to Berlin with the deceased Willi Jarant. They put sunglasses on him and told airport staff that he was sleeping.

Concerned airport staff called for medical help, but later found out the man had already been dead. The women were arrested immediatedly, and later on made bail until June 1. Anke claimed that he may have died along the way. She said Willi had Alzhiemer's, and that his health was starting to fail. The two women said that Willi just wanted to go home to die. With the help of a coroner, the police are doing some further investigation into the case.

Laws that can lock you up in prison!

On MSNBC.COM I found an article titled “World’s strangest traffic laws” when I started reading it I thought to myself….next trip I’ll make sure I cover every little thing before I go to that country…Not only knowing where I am staying or where I want to go …I need to know if I am getting transportation from local people or if I am getting transportation myself…If I am getting a car I need to do my research so I don’t violate any laws!.......and hopefully not end up in jail if I ever decide to drive in Vietnam without a Vietnamese drivers license…. Click on the link above to check this article out!

Also, I found this blog on MySpace that tells you about weird laws that exist in the US…or so it says! Click on this link Weird Laws in the USA to read these absurd laws! Like not waking a bear up to take a picture of it!

On Hotel Travel Blog you can also read on really weird laws that Singapore has that you might want to consider before you visit!.....like not littering because if you get caught you can get fined $1000!

So break the law under your own risk!

Property Bargains

In the mists of the real state crisis Broward County foreclosure sales gain visibility by going online. Instead of the tedious traditional auctions the county gains international exposure. By simplifying the process the county is expecting to reduce the cost of auctions and to increase property turnover. The piling of foreclosure all over the country generates many problems for counties and neighborhoods. Vacant homes become housing for drug dealers and for other illicit activities.

This new auction system is sure to facilitate the foreclosure sales but is this enough? While specialists state that new jobs are being created throughout the country all my friends that were unemployed last year remain unemployed. And certainly enough I was able to find their houses on the online auction. Needless to say, they miss the old system.

Learn How to Be a Good Seller!!

This TV infomercial presenter from England made a fool of himself when he broke the screen of a LCD TV, which according to him, was resistant to any type of hit.

The seller was showing the qualities of the product during a TV show, when he announced that the screen of the TV could resist to any fall or pressure. As proof he punched the screen three times, on the third one the screen broke. Visibly embarrassed, he didn’t stop talking and told his assistant, “Oh! I have broken it. Look at that.” Then he makes an attempt to explain what happened, but it didn’t quite work out.

This is amazing! Participants of a fake French TV show were surprised with an electric chair in the middle of the studio, where, apparently, one of the guests was electrocuted to death. The “Death Game” is part of a documentary showing how people can follow orders and surrender themselves to the power of the communication mediums. Asked to be participants on a new TV program, 80 volunteers were instructed to ask questions to participants, who were place on the electric chair. To every wrong question they would be electrocuted. What the volunteers didn’t know was that the whole equipment was fake and the person sitting on the chair was actually an actor hired by the program.

These cows have it all, don’t they? In order to grow the production of milk, a Russian farmer installed LED TVs in his corral for the cows to watch. According to “English Russia”, the farmer believes the cows will be happier and more productive if they watch movies with a lot of green fields. Not only that, but the they are 32-inch TVs. I don't even have one of those.

Disney Tragedy

Disney Parks are all about fun and excitement. Well not so much on this April's Fool as a 9 year old buy was killed in a accident with a Disney bus. The boy was riding his bicycle and for some reason he got off the curb, hit the side of the bus and was then pulled under the rear tire.

Although Disney parks are highly safe sometimes accidents happen and when they do they get lots of attention. There is even a website that dedicates much effort to report accidents on theme parks.
This is a very unfortunate end to a family vacation.

The happiest place on earth is mourning today and so are we.

Grandma Gets Fined For Selling Fish

I'm a bit torn in two on this story. At first you think, "All she did was sell a goldfish to some kid." But you have to also consider the child's age, or ability to care for the animal. You can't just sell pets to just anybody. That's why she was fined and put on a curfew. They have animal protection laws for a reason.

This bust of this British pet store was all a part of a
sting operation. This store was suspected by the local council to be selling pets to children without asking about the care and safety of the animal. An incident happened where the store sold a gerbil to a mentally challenged child, and the gerbil ended up in a cup of coffee. The shop owner, 66-year-old Joan Higgins was fined, given a curfew, and had been electronically tagged. Her 47-year-old son that manages the shop was fined, and ordered to do community service. I'm glad that this happened because it may have opened their eyes to how serious their actions were. I think it may have helped save the lives of many other animals.

Science + Food = Molecular Gastronomy?

I was reading on MSNBC.COM and I saw this article titled “Far out! 14 high-tech foods of the future”, I clicked on it and found myself reading that there are 2 chefs who own restaurant MOTO who everything in their menu is made from molecular gastronomy. You can even eat their menu! Click on the link above to see some of the dishes MOTO has to offer….You might be fooled by the dishes appearance! To the right you can see a Cuban Cigar…but it’s eatable!

Speaking of Molecular Gastronomy, I remember watching Top Chef Season 2, where one of the contestants was into making food in a scientific way. Click on the link above to check Top Chef’s new season in Las Vegas!

On PlanetGreen.com you can check out Moto’s chefs TV show “Mad Food Scientists” and experience for yourself how this amazing chefs make food out of strange ingredients! Watch the ten craziest things they have ever prepared…some of those things are like writing on water!

On Khymos Blog you can read and comment on posts about molecular gastronomy by Martin Lersch, a man who lives in Oslo and writes about weird things you can do with your food! Like putting salt in your coffee!

I can’t wait to see what the molecular gastronomy community comes up with next!

Sooo, Was It Good For You??

A 37 years old man was arrested last Saturday (3/20) after he was caught watching a pornographic movie while driving in a highway in New York. According with the police, Michael Mangano was patrolling the area when he noticed a driver, identified as Gerald L. Williams, watching a porn movie. He was arrested for exhibiting offensive sexual material in public

What about this guy? He was arrested in Ames, Iowa for robbing a church and watching pornographic movies inside the temple. Charles E. Bentley, 55 years old, took a few items during the morning and decided to crash the attic, where he enjoyed a very pleasant evening having a date with himself. He was arrested the next morning when leaving the church.

Changing the subject a little, Marty Wombacher, a 51 year-old North American, is trying to visit 365 bars in 365 days in New York. As of March 23 he has visited 72 bars already. He has also created a blog in order to update everyone about his journey. So far his favorite bar is “Winnie’s” in Chinatown. Apparently it has a lot of interesting people.

Clearly this wedding was meant to work out!! The North American Roger Adler, 42 years old, is suing his ex-fiancé in the Supreme Court in Manhattan asking her to give back his $58,000. He says she has to since their relationship is over. He proposed to her after 6 weeks of dating and gave the ring to celebrate the union. Too bad the “union” was over after 12 days. He is a little stupid though. Lastly, he also says this was not the first time she broke up with him after receiving a valuable gift. I rest my case. He is dumb.

Let us know what you think!

Robbers Call Before They Come

People do a lot stupid things. Sometimes you just have to step back and ask yourself, "Hey, is this really a good idea?" Apparently this never crossed the mind of Albert Bailey. Since he's 27, he's going to get a much worse sentence than his 16-year-old accomplice. His previous record doesn't help much either.

Their planned
bank robbery included calling the bank to let them know that they were going to rob them. Of course, the teller phoned the police after hanging up and the bank was on lock down. Since one of the two masterminds were already in the bank, he took some money and politely asked to be released. Upon leaving the bank the thief encountered an officer, and tried to make a run towards the getaway car his friend was driving. Shockingly enough, the two were captured and arrested.

Surf a wave for 40 minutes?

This is possible at river tides such as in the Amazon Basin. Known as Pororoca, these tidal waves of six meters high and speeds of 30 kilometers per hour can be surfed by highly skilled surfers. This phenomenon happens due to the connection of the sea with the river at certain moon phases and is common during equinoxes.

Check you this awesome video of pororoca surfing. The coming of the Pororoca can be anticipated as a tremendous noise coming from the river can be heard as early as two hours in advance followed by an unusual silence. This is a sign known to the region natives that is time to get away from the river and search for safe grounds. To the adventurous surfers it is time to get their surfboards and get ready for the adrenaline.

The Pororoca has become a touristic attraction to the region as the
Brazilian National Pororoca Surfing Championship is now held every year. Pororoca surfers faces challenges as choosing a not so tall wave to catch as it increases their chances to surf longer. Other unusual challenges that only Pororoca surfers face are adjusting to the river's curves, avoiding piranhas, alligators, and leopards. That is some extreme surfing!!!

From beauty pageant to ugly lawsuit?

I was going to check my email this morning but before I signed on I got caught by an interesting headline. It was “Notorious Reality TV “Brat” sues ABC for $100 million”, the girl in the picture seemed very familiar, I knew I had seen her on TV…..right! on Wife Swap!

This episode showed a family that was obsessed with beauty pageants and outside appearance and a second family who believed in feminism….As you can see, a recipe for disaster!....I guess that this 15 year old girl is suing ABC for $100 million dollars because she thinks the show focused too much on her to make her look bad instead of focusing more on the moms experience.. I think you should all watch the episode and make your own opinion about this….personally this family is way too shallow and even do their daughter’s homework for her! Click on the link above to read the article….

This show is really funny, but at the same time you can learn and reflect on your lifestyle from what you see….You can either say thank God I am not like that or maybe I can try that at home….I really recommend people to check this show up at ABC.COM…..you can read and watch clips on the families that already participated…..

On Anderson Coopers 360 blog you can see the requirements and application for Wife Swap….Some questions are really funny…. No wonder strange families are picked! Who knows maybe you want to participate! Click on the link to read the application

Finally, I found this parenting blog on the New York Times called the "Motherlode"… parents post their experiences and issues of parenting their children…. I am sure many parents can find this site helpful and share their experiences with other parents who might be going through the same stuff…..

No one said being a parent would be easy right?!

Hopefully our kids don’t turn out like the blonde girl on wife swap!

Want to know how you might have looked as a caveman or cavewoman?

I was on MSNBC.COM and found myself with an article titled: “Smithsonian traces saga of human origins: Museum of Natural History’s exhibit features hundreds of fossils”. As I kept reading I found out that the Museum of Natural History in Washington is displaying fossils that date back to 3.2 million years ago. Read the article and find out their new feature will make you look like a Homo sapiens!

Speaking of origins and our ancestors more commonly known as cavemen and cavewomen, what are your opinions on evolution? This is a tough topic to talk about because people often tend to link science with religion…. On “Evolution Blog” you can read and give your own points of view on this topic… this blog is really good, the author tends to post based on books that he reads and then gives his personal opinion leading to interesting posts from followers…..

This whole evolution thing brought me to think of archeology, and how its discoveries throughout time have been really significant in understanding our origins….on “Archeology in Europe” blog you can find the latest news on expedition discoveries in Europe…one that caught my attention was the discovery of 51 decapitated Viking fossils found in Europe…..go in and watch the video!

Also if you would like additional information on the 51 Vikings found, click on National Geographic.com and it will take straight to this article……

As Jim Bishop said “Archaeology is the peeping Tom of the sciences. It is the sandbox of men who care not where they are going; they merely want to know where everyone else has been.”

The Best Excuse To Put Breast Implants: It saves lives.

An American woman from California had her life saved by her breast implants. Lydia Carranza, a receptionist, was at work when a man with a semiautomatic gun came in and shot her. The bullet hit her chest, but it didn't reach her heart because of her implants.

Similar story happened to Samantha Lynn Frazier, 35 years old. She said she was shot when she entered a bar in Atlantic City, but her “love handles” stopped the bullet. She felt something hurting on her left side, but when she put her hand on it, she felt blood. The shooter was a police man, as they were trying to arrest another man.

But nothing seems weirder than this. Maria Alaimo, from New York, won $3.5 Million from a lawsuit after a breast implant surgery left her with “four (4) breasts”. The surgery happened in 2003, and as she says, her husband left her in 2004.

Lastly, Trista Joy Lathern was arrested in Texas after she lied saying she had breast cancer and put silicone with the money some people gave her for the treatment. Friends of her gave her S10,000 in donation after she announced she had cancer.

Is Michelle Obama Stronger than McDonald's?

The first lady promotes better eating habits and exercise routine to promote the well being of children. Mrs. Obama launches a campaign to create a greater awareness among parents, schools, food makers, and governments. Click here to learn more about her initiatives.

Mrs. Obama ought to speak laughter as big corporations like McDonald's are not listening to her pleas. While Michelle Obama emphasizes healthy eating habits McDonald's scavenges for profits. McDonald's once more made it clear that on the fight for health, they are targeting the health of the pockets of their shareholders. The company announced it will reduce soft-drink prices to drive in more sales. As stated on TopStocks "[f]orget about worries about soft-drinks and obesity. Sell a product at a low enough price and the masses will come."

There's A Stranger In My Bed

Frank Fontana was surprised to wake up next to a strange man in his bed at 5:30am on 03/17/2010. Cold and drunk, the man was apparently searching for shelter after leaving a Jay-Z concert. Fontana asked the intruder if he was a woman who had keys to his house, when a male voice replied no, Fontana jumped up and grabbed a baseball bat. The intruder was charged with criminal trespass and criminal mischief. I thought this whole thing was a bit funny...kind of creepy, but still funny. It reminds me of the Rip Torn arrest, except I felt sad for him.

A Robbery May Have Saved His Life

Serge Noel was rushed to the hospital after a mild heart attack. Noel tried to stop Edward Munez from robbing the So Loved CBL Supermarket after a call from the alarm company. The stress sent Noel to the hospital where they found he had cardiomyopathy. Doctors say he may have lived for only a few more months if the condition wasn't discovered. I'm glad Noel was okay, and I think everything happens for a reason. Just like the Phil Wheaton case.

Venus de Milo made of snow is CENSORED!!! And more bizarre news

A family from New Jersey had to cover-up its snow statue on their front yard because of an order from the Police.

Elisa Gonzalez, a 44 years old mom from Rahway, told reporters her and her 12 and 21 years old children had built the famous Greek armless statue in her front yard.

But an anonymous neighbor told the police about a nude snow woman, and the police asked the family to either cover it up or destroy it.

It is sexier now though.

Do you want some more bizarre news?? Check out this dog that is addicted to cigarettes and NEEDS at least 2 a day. This great report was found on PawnNation.com.

What about receiving 45 pounds of weed in a box delivered by UPS?? That is not the only problem; the biggest one is that Sarah Howell Leach, from North Carolina, was just expecting her new computer. As soon as she found out what it was she called the police. Check out the full report on SalisburyPost.com.

What about this under water museum in Isla Mujeres in Mexico. When everything is completed, the museum will count with some 400 concrete figures. The first sculptures were made by the British artist Jason de Caires. A few pictures can be found here at Pick Chur.

I am going to finishing this post about strange news with the Police of Dayton, Ohio. Training, a couple of weeks ago, was a little bit different than usual, some may say. Some cops had to drink alcoholic beverages as part of an exercise. According to them, they had to be models for other cops to perform the sobriety test. Not too bad of a job I would say. The full report and a video can be found at WDTN.com.

Shark attacks.........sip some whisky!

On Cnn.com I found an article about the worst places for animal attacks. For example, it tells you about the most common places for shark attacks. Florida is ranked as one of the most common places to be attacked by a shark but there is a place in Australia that shark attacks are becoming more and more common… read the article and get some tips on how to prevent or what to do if attacked!....Summer is coming so this can come in handy….

The “Shark Monitor” is a blog that tracks shark attacks around the world. It gives you detail information on the place, time, and injuries. You can read the stories and leave comments!

On “Greg Laden’s” blog you can also read 2 stories about animal attacks. The first story is about a tiger at the San Francisco Zoo that escaped its cage … the second story is about a circus bear that killed its trainer and injured 2 other people…. This blog has posts on science and culture…click, read, and comment!

The “Buckle’s Blog” is a blog that talks about circus history around the world….I read that Ursula Bottcher passed away March 4, 2010. Ursula Bottcher was a polar bear trainer and was called the "Brilliant Baroness of Bears".

Speaking of polar bears ….go into “The Polar Blog” to read about Sir Ernest Shackleton’s whisky supply that has been discovered in Antarctica….

Taiwan Hit by Another Earthquake

Taiwan has just been hit by an earthquake with a 6.4 magnitude. I'm just glad a lot of people weren't hurt. Considering all things, it still wasn't as bad as Haiti (7.0 magnitude) or Chile (8.8 magnitude). Though the quake didn't claim many lives, it did cause a lot of damage. Thank God it's not like 1999 all over again.

Want to win easy money by watching a movie??

Could anyone afraid of horror movies stay through the end of a film full of spirits, monsters, and blood for US$10,000?

The contestant has to stay until the end of the credits of Phoonk 2, which has as its theme bad spirits that will make hell out of this family’s life.

In an interview with CNNGO.com the director of the film, Ram Gopal Varma, says that anyone who is not afraid of horror films may be challenged.

During a screening of Phoonk 2, the person will have its heart beats monitored, as well as have a camera turned to his/her face to make sure the eyes are open for the whole time.

The challenge will start in March 10 in the film’s official web site, and it will be available to everyone who lives in the Indian Territory and they must be between 18 – 60 years old.

Come fly with me, let's fly, let's fly away

I was reading on MSNBC that a Japan airline has decided to respond to a women-only survey conducted in 2007. This survey determined that women WANT their own bathroom when flying! No more sharing toilets with men ladies! At least when flying on All Nippon Airways…

Speaking of Japan, have you ever seen or experienced using the bathroom over there? I hear the toilet is on the ground and you have to stand up… I then bumped with this article that was posted on “About an Island” this person also said that they have western looking toilets…. One difference is that they have remote controls with special gadgets…follow the link and find out what these gadgets do…..here is a hint for one of them: ever felt the toilet seat cold? Not anymore!

Going back to women requesting their own bathroom…. Let’s be honest but we (women) love to make requests and sometimes they can be weird or annoying….
This Healthy Lifestyle Blog will show you what women tend to do to restaurants menus….Do you agree?

Talking about eating right… The Diet Blog has an article titled

Trainer Killed by Shamu at SeaWorld Orlando in Florida

According to the police, a SeaWorld Orlando trainer died after being attacked by the killer whale after, apparently, slipping and falling into the tank where the animal was.

But a witness told a TV station that the trainer had just explained to the crowd how the show was going to happen when the animal jumped from the tank, grabbed her and shook her violently in front of the public. After the attack, the visitors were told to leave and the park was closed.

Even though the park had not yet released the name of the victim, a Police officer identified her as Dawn Brancheau, 40 years old.

Check out the full report on the Sun Sentinel.

This, by the way, is not the first incident happening at park from the SeaWorld chain. In November of 2006, the trainer Kenneth Peters was bitten and taken under water various times by an orca in a show in San Diego, California. He only broke a foot and the whale had already attacked the trainer twice, in 1993 and 1999. Check it all out on MSNBC.

Also, in 2004 in the park in San Antonio, Texas another whale tried to hit and bite a trainer, but he was able to save himself without a scratch. The video of the report is available on vodpod.com

Apart from all this madness, why don’t we try to see the better side of whales with this video on youtube which I am sure everyone will enjoy.

Love Those Love Handles

Have you ever sat around your house complaining about how you need to lose weight? Well, what if I told you that a few of your extra pounds could help save your life? This was the case for 35 year old Samantha Lynn Frazier. As she entered an Atlantic City bar, Samantha clutched her left side after hearing two pops. Samantha told press that if it wasn't for her love handles she would have been dead. In my opinion this is just another one of those rare events. It's kind of like Briana Bonds , a woman who stopped a bullet with her weave. There have also been cases where stuffed bras, and bra underwires have saved the lives of many women. Unusual, but still pretty amazing!

Also, how fat do you have to be to stop a bullet?

Google Buzz -- and you thought Facebook had privacy issues?

Google came out with Google Buzz in reaction to Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, and the like. Google Buzz can be found in your gmail account. We all have a profile somewhere on the net...but do we really stop and think about all the personal information we put out there for anyone and everyone around the world to see? Although Google is the most popular search engine, don't you think they came out with Buzz a little too late? How many Profiles can someone have or even keep up with? I can barely keep up with 1 Facebook profile and 5 different email accounts...
The article I found talks about certain diadvantages Google Buzz has and how it can affect your privacy.... This Blog is called "ComputerWorld" and mainly talks about technology and what people do with it...

A Natural Substance with 0 Calories and Sweeter than Sugar?

How come many of us never heard about this "miraculous" plant? Some speculate that big corporations that produce or uses aspartame in their products lobby against the introduction of stevia in markets such as US, Canada, and Europe. Speculation or reality? Well, I don't have enough data to confirm or deny such controversial claims and I am not here do judge those involved.

Why is these issue so controversial? Perhaps because aspartame is an artificial substance that is widely used on dietary supplements and it is believed to provoke or accelerate many health issues. Among the substance's side effects the most dangerous are: brain tumor, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer, lymphoma, fibromyalgia, diabetes, birth defects, and mental retardation.

What is Stevia? Stevia is a small bush native in Paraguai, Brasil, and China. It has great sweetening capacity and in its natural state it is approximately 10 to 15 times sweeter than sugar. Unlike other types of artificial sweetener, it is not bitter in taste. Stevia was discovered and used by native tribes such as the Guarani in South America for many years and in its known for many benefits such as: be calorie free, does not cause diabetes, does not alter sugar levels, is natural, can be used for cooking, and it prevents the formation of cavities.

Additionally, stevia is known for its medicinal properties such as being hypoglycemic, inhibiting carbohydrates, cigarets and alcohol cravings, treating diabetes and indigestion, being a skin tonic, and treating cardiovascular problems.

What to do? The option is yours, I did my homework and came to my own conclusions. I have added stevia to my grocery list and will search for it next time I visit a grocery store. Don't take my word for it, do your own research. A must read blog on the subject is Everything about Stevia where you will find information, myths, and even great recipes using stevia.

I wish you good luck and a healthy life!

Corrupt Politician - Is this a Redundant Term?

It seems like corruption and politics are synonymous in the Portuguese language. Brazil just got over the shame of the "mensalão"* and again images of a politician hiding money inside his underwear are released. Jose Roberto Arruda, Governor of Brasilia, was arrested on charges of bribery and corruption. His long list of wrongdoing includes: receiving illegal campaign funds for his election, receiving kickbacks for companies biding on public work, and bribing. To complete his shame, it was all recorded on tape and released on the internet.

Along with Brazil's long history of corruption we can also find various cases of impunity. But surprisingly enough his arrest has been followed by seven straight days in prison despite the request of habeas corpus made by Arruda's attorney. The global media has reported on this case so have bloggers around the globe. One blog that I find interesting and resourceful

Jakarta Forum provided its readers with relevant information on this shameful scandal. The blog focus on world news and does so in a diversified manner. It provides its readers with unbiased information.

Is GM going on the right track??

This article came from a blog called “AUTOPIA” from Wired.com. You can find the article on wired.com and it is titled “GM to Build Its Own Electric Motors”

This is a great article talking about how GM is planning to become a leader in electronic motors. They want to be the leader in the market as soon as the US starts to move away from oil. GM has realized how much companies making hybrid and electric vehicles are depending on their suppliers; therefore they believe they can be more independent and differentiated if they produce their own batteries. They are expecting to start production in 2013 and in order to do so they are forecasting to spend some $246 million dollars in the factory.

Another Recall?

There is a chance that Toyota might add another 270,000 cars to its recall list. The Prius hybrid and two other Lexus models are being inspected. Toyota claims that the brake problems on the Prius model have been fixed since the late January. The cars built previous to that are now the topic of concern. I used to think Toyotas were some of the most reliable cars, now they're just rolling deathtraps. Who would want their family in one of those? Click on the blog title to read more about the recall.
